  Punjab Benevolent Fund History                 
Punjab Benevolent Fund was established with the aim to serve humanity in 1960. Since then it is providing the services to public servants. The Punjab Benevolent Fund Board is a Governmental Organization Serving / Retired Provincial Government employees as well as widows / children of deceased Government Servant across the province under the provision of The Punjab Government Servants Benevolent Fund Ordinance, 1960 (W.P. Ordinance Xiv Of 1960)
The headquarter of the Benevolent Fund Board is located in Lahore (provincial headquarter of Punjab Province – Pakistan), whereas District Benevolent Fund Boards have been constituted to provide easy access to the employees (BS-01 to BS-15) of Attached Departments in his/her own District / Agency.

The fund is made up of compulsory contributions recovered from each Government employee on monthly basis at source, at such rates as Government may, from time to time, prescribe. Present rates of contribution is 3% of Basic Salary.
